Lamb tripe is a mild option – good for dogs that are too reactive to beef tripe, or are generally sensitive to intense meats. Lamb is a rare allergen, which also makes it interesting for dogs with multiple intolerances. If your dog has never had lamb before: test with half a piece first.

That depends on the dog: size, chewing style, routine. For many dogs, between 5 and 15 minutes. Elvis – one of our snack inspectors – is done in just under 5 minutes. Tripe and lung are not extremely hard. If your dog gulps, it's better to cut them into smaller pieces and supervise them.

Rule of thumb: Once to several times a week. For many dogs, 2-4 chews per week are perfectly fine; some can even tolerate a small one daily. What you don't want: the daily ration of their main food to be permanently unbalanced. If given more frequently, reduce the amount of food accordingly. For sensitive stomachs, allergy sufferers, or new protein sources: introduce slowly and observe.

Our tripe, lungs, skin, and ears do not splinter. This is one of the reasons why we offer them as chews - unlike cooked bones, which can break into sharp pieces. Nevertheless, always supervise your dog with any chew, especially dogs that tend to gulp. For very small dogs or puppies: break the piece into smaller parts beforehand.

Rumen has an intense smell. This is not a defect; it is the nature of the product. Dogs love this very smell – for them, it's like freshly baked cake for us. For humans, it takes some getting used to. We recommend: storing chew snacks in a closed container or in the supplied resealable bag. Lungs are significantly less odorous than rumen.
